Welcome to The Yutan Wrestling Club Portal!
The wrestling season is here. We had our first round of registrations, and we were hoping a few more wrestlers might still be out there. The club has gone through some fairly significant changes, which I will try to address.
Firstly, We have Incorporated as a "not for profit" organization.
What does this mean to you?
Well that is difficult to say. Mostly, it will open a few more doors for the club in regards to generating revenue through donations and fund raising.
Secondly, we have undergone some staff changes and reorganization.
What does this mean to you?
Again, somewhat difficult to say. It may mean more to some parents than others, based on your involvement with the organization. Coach Rick Henry has offered to take most of the burden as head coach, as my hours are not as flexible as they have been in previous years. Coach Robert Johnson is returning to the club this year to assist in any way necessary. With the new corporation being formed, we are forced to make some decissions regarding Board Members and Officers. We have decided to assign the positions as follows:
Board Members:

Officers:
President - Matt Workman
Secretary - Robert Johnson
Treasurer - Matt Workman
Board Members are appointed as needed and released from duty by majority vote. Officer positions will be available for election at the close of the season. We will be looking for individuals to serve in these capacities for a ONE year term. Bear in mind that the wrestling season is only about 4 months long and the rest of the term will be a lot less demanding.
We will be forming several committees as things progress. Fund-Raising, Community Services and Planning to name some possible candidates. These positions will be appointed to interested individuals on a volunteer basis. If you are interested in participating in one or more of these committees, please let one of us know ASAP. We are always looking for good people who want to help.
Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights in the Yutan Wrestling Room, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. We realize that this may present some of you with scheduling difficulties. For that we are sorry. Over the years, we have tried to accommodate multiple sport involvement for our young wrestlers. Unfortunately, the modifications we have made showed now significant improvement in attendance. That being said, this year we are going back to our "normal" schedule.
